I was recently very lucky and excited to nab a seat on the first round of Social Media Workshops by the über talented The Social Playground. I felt like a bit of a stalker as when I knew Cherie Clonan was involved in this new venture I knew I had to get myself booked in asap. Cherie totally gets social media and blitzes it! (and I really wanted to meet her in person) I also checked out her partner Catherine King online (I am sounding super stalkerish now!) and she got the big tick from me so the ticket was booked and I eagerly awaited my workshop date.
The timing, content and general all round awesomeness of this workshop was perfect for me! I have been so busy lately that to be honest I have been feeling quite overwhelmed with it all. I would not change running my own business and looking after my two little ladies for a second but boy oh boy some days it has been challenging. My social media has been lacking and I totally admit and hang my head in shame in this fact. This workshop re-ignited the fire in my belly, I sat there nodding my head, jotting down notes furiously and drove back to Ballarat with my head buzzing (in a good way).
Lots of info was packed in to the four hours of power! Social media strategy was covered off with my bestie Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest covered. Tips and tricks were shared on managing your social platforms which will really help my time poor self! Email marketing, blogging for business and the nitty gritty stuff like SEO and analytics.
I came away with ideas, a new perspective on things and feeling even more excited for the future of Antipodean Love. So if you are in the market for a social media workshop then I would thoroughly recommend you get that finger clicking on the book button, these ladies know their stuff!
