Well my A.L. lovelies it’s that time of year again when those of us lucky enough to be in Victoria in the next couple of weeks get to tantalise our tastebuds with the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. This year the festival runs from 28 February to 16 March and will host over 200 events in and around Mighty Melbourne with some of the action taking place in regional Victoria (Yay for us country folk!).
This year’s theme for the festival is water and the Festival Kitchen Bar and Raingarden in Queensbridge Square, will provide an ideal place to eat, drink and meet while pondering the wonders of our planets most precious resource. Other notable events will be the World’s Longest Lunch held on 28 February at Alexandra Park and the Global Wine experience from 1 to 2 March at the Arts Centre.

Here at A.L. we are particularly looking forward to Ballarat’s version of the longest lunch being held on 14 March but hope to make our way down to the big smoke as well to make the most of some of the festivals culinary delights.
Here’s hoping some of you get to experience the festival.
